Preserving the Tejano Music, Arts, History and Lifestyle!

Arturo Ybarra, I want to express my deepest gratitude for advertising the NTTMC and for coming out to join us. Our call is for people to do something for the Tejano Culture through one of the many avenues around us. Any group that will enhance, empower, promote, preserve the Music, Arts, y la Cultura.

We here in the North Texas Tejano Music Coalition are happy to announce the Houston Rally was a success with over 2500 in attendance see the link and pix, lots of fund raising going on and awareness being spread to the Tejano Houston Community. In San Antonio, the TTMA Fanfare and Vive Tejano Forum at the Cattleman’s bar and grill were also a success. People coming from all over. Several people spoke representing many businesses, bands, & radio. Topics expressing concerns, giving ideas and bringing solutions to stimulate to the market, and addressing current issues. If we don’t do anything for Tejano culture it will surely fade. Awareness is the first step, exposure! We don’t have to agree on everything, but agree to disagree, then work the program in unity so that we can accomplish the task that will lead to strength, empowerment and esteem. The success of Primo Tejano is our hope and the success of the NTTMC partnership I hope will last a lifetime.

Most bands do not survive 5 to 10 Years much less record records for 3-4 decades..see below!

To Our Fans and friends,
Tortilla's new album [CD] is underway and it will be recorded in Austin Texas,
New York City, and Los Angeles. This is our 35th year in the business and we will make this new album a very special musical experience with Charro and his great voice and Alfredo Antonio's own style that he brings to La Onda. There will be some new things by Charro as well as Bobby doing a couple of his biggest hits ...........simply because a lot of Tortilla Fans are requesting that Charro re-record a couple of his songs that became standards in La Onda.

Diversity is the theme of this project and Tortilla remains in the middle of
of the contemporary trends while being true to it's identity and not forgetting that Texas/Chicano music is all about the soul and the feeling. We will have a show that will be very high energy so We're looking forward to seeing all of you soon and having some great parties wherever we perform.
